An Odd Man’s Odyssey: November 2024
I’m Off on a New Adventure!
Salutations and fair weather to all my readers!
To those who know me well, it might come as a surprise to hear I’ve started writing and that I’m talking about publishing a book in the Spring of 2025. That’s because I’ve intentionally been trying to keep it under wraps.
I’ve kept the circle of people who knew about this project small because this process has been a matter of trial and error. To prove this let me tell you a little secret, I finished writing the first draft of my book in November 2021. So I’ve spent nearly three years between then and now rewriting, improving, and getting this story ready for publishing.
Finally, I’m getting the book where I want it to be. This means it’s time I started to unveil this project for all to see.
Now, with that out of the way let’s talk about An Odd Man’s Odyssey. This is my way of keeping in touch with you! A running log of my adventures and a place for my audience to chat about them. The living record of my odd journey through the world of writing.
“So… it’s a blog?”
Well yes, but you don’t have to make it sound so common and dull. Also, for those who worry that a blog by me will start to ramble, I promise to try and keep myself contained (mostly). My goal is that every post will be around one page long. This should save us all some time, and give me a hard limit so that I stay on topic.
If you haven’t guessed, this first post’s topic is introductory and to inform you of my plans going forward. The goal is to release each post of An Odd Man’s Odyssey in the first few days of each month, along with a newsletter for those who’ve signed up for the mailing list. The newsletter should be short too, because I hate wordy spam as much as any of you.
The largest part will be a section about this same blog with a piece of the latest post. Beyond that, it will contain two or three smaller sections. One for “Writer News” about release updates, new books, and similar information. Another will be a little “Captain Random” section. This is for me to post something fun or thoughtful, really it could be anything so check it out to see what I come up with each month. Lastly will be a small “Extra” section for things like holiday wishes, promo codes for those on my newsletter, and sign-up opportunities.
I encourage everyone to sign up for my newsletter on my connect page so you can stay plugged in with me and the stories we have in store for the future.
So let me officially invite you to come on this writer’s journey with one as strange as me as I walk
An Odd Man’s Odyssey.
